NYLON is headed by Lindsey Owen, a licensed real estate broker with solid New York experience gained from working at two of the city’s top brokerage firms—Douglas Elliman and TOWN Residential. In addition to her experience as a seasoned residential broker, Lindsey has extensive expertise in real estate development marketing. Before becoming an agent, she led and consulted builder and developer clients on key marketing, branding, public relations and selling efforts for prominent new luxury home development projects in South Florida. Lindsey works with clients around the world, offering comprehensive, customized service and creative thinking to deliver results.

Originally from Jupiter, Florida, Lindsey comes from a real estate family and bought her first home in Naples, FL at age 23. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in English and Business. She moved to Manhattan in 2008, and has lived in Chelsea, the Upper West Side and most recently the Financial District. Now splitting her time between New York and London, Lindsey has resided in the Central London neighborhoods of Marylebone and now Fitzrovia.

A longtime New York City resident, Joe Nicholson offers extensive knowledge of every vibrant neighborhood. He has owned property in Brooklyn, Chelsea, and the East Village where he served as President of his condo board. Joe also lived downtown in Battery Park City and the Financial District, as well as various parts of the Upper West Side. His market savvy and seasoned experience as a property owner are invaluable when advising his real estate clients.

In Massachusetts, Joe additionally owned a townhouse and condominiums in Boston, single-family homes in Nantucket, Chatham and Provincetown, and a home in Canton. Heading south to Florida, his assets included apartment buildings, waterfront residences and condos in Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors. He puts his expertise to work for his clients whether they are seeking or selling a home, or navigating the investment or commercial real estate arena in NYC.

Joe was raised in a family construction business which fueled his passion for real estate. His background inspired his lengthy track record of transactions, and deepened his familiarity of project management, permitting and building. There is no greater ally to trust with your real estate needs than this savvy, accomplished professional.

His business resume is as extensive and impressive as his real estate accomplishments. Joe has served as a high-level executive in the financial industry, plus founded and ran several companies in Boston, NYC and London. His real estate acumen always applied when entering into numerous commercial leases.

When embarking on a full-time real estate career and choosing a brokerage firm to work with, the decision was very simple. As a longtime client of Lindsey Owen, Founder and Broker of NYLON, with whom he’d worked on multiple transactions, Joe was always a happy customer. Even in his off hours, Joe is diverse and talented. He is a licensed private pilot, an avid skydiver, and has traveled the world eight times. Joe also won 10 Telly Awards for Videos as an executive producer, plus designed, manufactured and sold a line of men’s sleepwear, robes and accessories. He serves on several boards, and established the Joseph J. Nicholson/Robert D. McCarter Foundation that provides support to organizations directly involved in the care of the elderly and those living with AIDS.

Ilsa Vasquez knows what it takes to meet the demands of her clients… she started in real estate as a client herself. After purchasing, renovating and eventually selling her first property, Ilsa recognized a personal passion for real estate that she hadn’t been aware of. Originally from Florida, Ilsa fell in love with New York the moment she first visited. “I love how every neighborhood in the city has its own personality,” she says. “Combined with the amazing architecture, specialty shops, food and the people who come here to live the dream, New York truly is one of a kind.” Ilsa, her husband, and daughter currently live in Brooklyn Heights. “I was drawn to the rich history of the neighborhood and the quaint, family-friendly feel.”

Ilsa began her career as an accountant, spending 10 years developing valuable experience with contractual financial details, deadlines, and in-depth deal analysis. An avid foodie, volunteer and bilingual in English and Spanish, she is also the rare industry professional who can customize every aspect of your real estate needs.
